Warriors Take Single Header Against Manistee Thursday, 10-8.

WMC took the season sweep of Manistee in a high scoring affair winning in late innings.  The Warriors had a 4-1 lead heading into the 5th inning when the Chippewas scored seven runs in the top of the inning.  The Warriors answered back scoring three in the bottom half.  The Warriors then put three more on the board in the bottom of the 6th inning to take the lead for good.

The Warriors had a team total 14 hits on the night, led by Alex Wagonmaker (Fr.) with 3.  Sam Liggett (Sr.) had a double and a 2-run homerun (second of the season).  Samuel VanOrman (Sr.) had a single and a triple with 3 RBI.  Wagonmaker took the win going 6 2/3 innings allowing 8 hits, 6 earned runs, 3 walks, and 5 strikeouts.

Coach Hill- "I'm impressed at how this team never hangs their heads when adversity hits- especially after an awful 5th inning tonight.  They just go out and continue to work.  That's the sign of a resilient team.  We continue to work on some small things that will help to make us better."
