Score
WARRIORS: 1
COVENANT CHRISTIAN HIGH SCHOOL: 2

WMC: 1 Covenant CHR: 2

The warriors traveled to Grand Rapids Covenant Christian to take on the chargers for non-league play. The first five minutes the chargers would be on the attacking foot and would create a few chances. However, Libby Mast (Sr.) would keep a clean sheet for the warriors to figure it out and find their rhythm. A bright moment would come from Brooklyn Watts (So.) as she found her way with the keeper for a 1v1, however, it found the way to the keepers hands to keep WMC scoreless. After that, WMC would be on the attacking foot and generate some chances, none that would really pose any threat.

With 11 minutes left in the first half, the chargers would find a goal as their forward would find a quick opening and find the far post. Libby Mast would get a hand on it but not enough to keep it out.

Second half, the warriors made some tactical changes in hopes to create better opportunities. In the first 2 minutes Brooklyn Watts would find Ally Oppenhuizen (Jr.) for a chance on goal. Ally made a great strike but the charger's keeper kicked it away at the last second to stop the chance. About 9 minutes later Brooklyn would find Ally for a 1v1 finish in goal. This would be Ally's 6th goal on the season and Brooklyn's 5th assist. This would tie the match with 30 minutes left. An assurance goal almost came a few plays later as Brooklyn found Maria Eenigenburg (Fr.) on the far post but just couldn't get it on frame.

However, the chargers would find an opportunity after those attempts. One would put them in a position for a penalty kick after it grazed a defenders arm. Fortunately, the player shot it over the goal and the score remained 1-1. The two teams would battle back and forth finding opportunities. Sydney Betten (Sr.) would have an opportunity to put the warriors up 2-1, however, it barely missed post to go out. The chargers would then find their own opportunity after some poor defensive clearances. This would put the chargers up 2-1.

WMC had another opportunity to find the equalizer with 11 minutes left to go. Kaiya Betten (So.) was finding herself on the end of a pass through the box, however, just couldn't find our footing to place it in the net.

The chargers would take the win, however, both teams had their chances that weren't indicative to the score.

Libby Mast would post 11 saves on the night.

The warriors take on OV on Monday for their last conference game of the season. This will also be senior night for our six players!
