The Warriors were on the road for the first time this season as they took on Manistee for their first conference match. It was a cold, misty day as the Warriors tried to get comfortable with the slick grass pitch. The first half opened with a great scoring opportunity from Ally Oppenhuizen (Jr.) when she hit crossbar. After that, the Warriors struggled connecting passes and creating good goal scoring opportunities. The speed of the game appeared to be slow and lackadaisical.

Then, the second half it took the Warriors about 20 minutes to finally find their rhythm, and once they did- lots of great opportunities followed. The Chippewa's keeper did an amazing job stopping the Warriors chances. The Warriors were also unlucky striking the crossbar and posts in their pursuit. Eventually, Oppenhuizen netted a goal from a great pass from Brooklyn Watts (So.) to give the Warriors a lead. Then, Sydney Betten (Sr.) completed the scoring for the warriors to conclude the match 2 - 0. 

The Warriors look to reorganize for another road trip to Ludington on Wednesday at 6:00 PM.
