Ella Hawke led the team with 7 kills, followed by Kendal Young with 6. Julissa TerHaar had 8 digs followed by Abby Leffring with 7. Kendal Young had 19 assists.

WMC vs Newago (25-15, 25-22 WMC W)

Abby Leffring led the team with 12 kills and Kendal Young ended with 21 assists.

WMC vs Hesperia (25-16, 25-16 WMC W)

Abby Leffring had 10 kills, followed by Ashley Folkema with 6. Julissa TerHaar had 6 digs. Kendal Young had 22 assists.

WMC vs Fremont (25-18, 25-23 WMC W) 

Abby Leffring had 10 kills and 3 blocks, followed by Ashley Folkema with 6 kills and 2 blocks. Kendal Young had 19 assists.

WMC vs Sparta (25-20, 25-15 WMC W)

Abby Leffring and Ashley Folkema each had 4 kills, followed by Ella Hawke with 3 and Nora Anderson with 2. Ashley Folkema had 8 digs, followed by Julissa TerHaar with 6. Kendal Young had 12 assists. 

WMC vs Plainwell (25-9, 25-20 WMC W)

Ashley Folkema had 8 kills followed by Abby Leffring with 7. Abby Leffring had 11 digs, followed by Kendal Young with 10. Kendal Young had 19 assists.

WMC vs Fremont (20-25 24-25 WMC L)

Abby Leffring and Ashley Folkema each had 7 kills. Kendal Young had 18 assists. 

We were 5-0 in pool play, beating every team at the tournament in two sets. We came in first place so only had to win one match in bracket play before entering the championship match against Fremont. Fremont is a solid team and they pushed us in that final match. Fremont ultimately came out on top of a hard fought match to win the championship.

I am very proud of our players and the work they put in during this tournament. They worked hard from start to finish and we were so close to capitalizing on the championship.
