WMC Baseball defeats Muskegon Catholic, 11-4.

The Warriors took on conference foe Muskegon Catholic in a single game Tuesday night and walked away with their first victory against the Crusaders since 2018.  The Warriors jumped out to an early four run lead in the top of the first inning.  MCC answered back in the bottom half scoring two to make the game, 4-2.  WMC added a run in the top of the 2nd inning, three runs in the top of the 4th and 5th innings to make the score, 11-2.  MCC added two runs in the bottom of the 6th inning to end the scoring.

The Warriors had 10 hits on the evening, led at the plate by Ethan Hill (Sr.) with 3 hits and 3 RBI and Caleb McKay (Fr.) with 3 hits (one being a triple) and 2 RBI.  Sam Liggett (Sr.) added 2 hits (both doubles) and 2 RBI while Sam Sipe (Jr.) added 2 hits and 3 RBI.  Sipe notched the win for the Warriors pitching the complete game.  He gave up 5 hits, 4 runs, 1 walk, and 5 strikeouts.

Coach Hill- "We have talked all season about staying focused at the plate and having quality at bats.  Today, the guys put that all together and saw what we can do when we do that.  We have been working on being efficient on the mound with our pitchers and Sipe did just that today.  The last couple of weeks the team has really come together."
