JUNIOR VARSITY: The Warriors won the first game 6-1 and dropped the nightcap 12-8 to Newaygo.
"Boys played solid defense in the first game and thanks to an exceptional full-game pitching performance by Cole Crabtree, took the W," coach Scott Liggett said.
"In the second game, defensive breakdowns hurt us despite solid pitching efforts by Mason Goorman and Micah TerHaar. Four of our eight runs in the second came from a grand slam, out of the park homerun by Ben Garretson.
"When we put it all together, we are tough to beat. We play OV on Friday at home."
